Founded in Cologne in 2006, MEINFOTO.de is now Germany's leading online shop for personalized photo printing. As a subsidiary of the globally active Picanova GmbH, they sell wall decoration items, textiles, and accessories. All items can be personalized with photos or names – uploaded and designed by our customers. In the next step, the products are manufactured and shipped directly to their doors.
During my time at Picanova (meinfoto.de), I served as a Senior UX Designer and Project Manager, playing a pivotal role across their diverse portfolio of websites.
My work centered on enhancing the user experience for personalized photo products, from initial concept to final delivery.
I was deeply involved in understanding how customers interact with our platforms and then translating those insights into intuitive, engaging designs.
A significant part of my responsibilities included meticulously designing user interfaces and crafting compelling visual designs that resonated with our brand and customers.
I also spearheaded the development of design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all our digital touchpoints.
My focus extended to modernizing critical web processes, including the complete redesign of shop interfaces and streamlining vital payment funnels, to make every step of the customer journey as smooth as possible.
Beyond core e-commerce functionality, I was instrumental in implementing and optimizing features aimed at driving business growth.
This included designing effective upselling and ROI-focused features, as well as creating impactful advertising modules for the entire group of Picanova websites.
This comprehensive role allowed me to combine strategic design thinking with practical project management, ultimately contributing to a seamless and successful online experience for millions of customers.
